Rectangular Terracotta Tiles

Traditionally crafted from natural clay, flexible for floors, walls and façades. Perfect for creative laying patterns in modern or classic styles.

Material & Craftsmanship

Cotto Rustic terracotta tiles are made in a deliberately slow, handcrafted process — without industrial acceleration. Each tile is shaped by hand from natural clay, then air-dried over an extended period and finally fired in wood-fired kilns. Only through this calm, unhurried process does the material develop its density, stability, and the characteristic depth of handcrafted terracotta.

The result is not a standardized industrial product, but a living material with its own signature. Subtle variations in surface, shade, and edges are not random — they are the expression of true craftsmanship, and what makes every tile unmistakably unique.

Natural Material — No Additives

As a pure natural material, the tiles consist exclusively of clay and water. They contain no additives, are fully recyclable and biodegradable. Their performance comes from the material itself — not from artificial post-treatment.

Application & Areas of Use

The terracotta tiles are designed for use in both interior and exterior environments and can be applied to floor and wall surfaces. Their suitability derives from the material structure, thickness, and proper execution, not from short-term design promises.

Dimensions & Custom Sizes

The available dimensions follow functional proportions. Custom sizes are available on request, provided they are technically and artisanally feasible.

Pricing

Pricing is determined by dimensions, surface finish, and execution.

Delivery is carried out by local freight forwarders to the desired address. Please note that shipping costs are not included in the price of the tiles and will be charged separately.

For confirmed orders, an agreed deposit is required, as the tiles are manufactured according to specific requirements. Once production is completed and the order is ready for dispatch, the remaining balance becomes due.

In the event of a return, the deposit paid will not be refunded. The costs for the return shipment are to be borne by the customer.

Surface treatment

Surface treatment has a decisive influence on the character and spatial effect of the handcrafted terracotta tiles. Variations in structure, tactility, and appearance result from the artisanal production process and are an integral part of the material.

Grinding can be carried out either before or after installation, depending on project requirements. On request, we offer factory surface treatment prior to delivery. This service is available on request and subject to an additional charge.

Application in interior and exterior areas

The handcrafted terracotta tiles are designed for use in both interior and exterior environments. Their suitability is determined by material structure, thickness, and proper execution.

Interior areas
Suitable for floor and wall surfaces in living spaces, kitchens, bathrooms, and corridors. The spatial effect results from the surface finish, format, and installation method—not from decorative effects.

Exterior areas
Applicable on terraces, balconies, and comparable outdoor surfaces. With appropriate construction and surface treatment, the tiles are designed for long-term use under weather exposure.

Services & Scope

Cotto Rustic focuses exclusively on the production and distribution of handcrafted terracotta tiles, as well as the sale of accompanying products for installation and maintenance, including tile adhesives, grouts, and impregnation products.
