Material & Craftsmanship
Cotto Rustic stair treads are created through the same handcrafted process as all our products – made from natural clay, shaped by hand, air-dried, and fired in wood-fired kilns. Each step carries the characteristic depth of handcrafted terracotta, with subtle variations in surface and tone that make it truly unique.
The result is not a standardized industrial product, but a living material that develops its own patina over time and through use.
Natural material without additives
Made exclusively from clay and water. No additives, fully recyclable and biodegradable.
Application & Areas of Use
Terracotta stair treads are suitable for both interior and exterior use. Their thickness and material structure make them particularly well suited for representative staircases in residential, commercial, and outdoor settings.
Dimensions & Custom Sizes
The standard dimensions of the stair element are defined as a base format (length × width × thickness). The depth is adjusted during installation to match the actual tread depth and cut accordingly.

For confirmed orders, an agreed deposit is required, as the tiles are manufactured according to specific requirements. Once production is completed and the order is ready for dispatch, the remaining balance becomes due.
In the event of a return, the deposit paid will not be refunded. The costs for the return shipment are to be borne by the customer.

Cotto Rustic skirting boards connect floor and wall in a single material – hand-shaped, air-dried, and fired in wood-fired kilns. The slender format emphasizes the transition line within the space without interrupting it. Each piece is made from the same natural clay as the tiles – for a cohesive overall composition.

Terracotta skirting boards are suitable for all interior and exterior areas where our tiles are used – including living spaces, kitchens, bathrooms, and transition zones. They provide a clean finish to floor surfaces and protect the lower edge of the wall.
Dimensions & Custom Sizes
The length of the skirting boards corresponds to the format of the terracotta tiles (e.g. 20 × 20 cm tile → 20 cm skirting board). Thickness and height follow defined proportions.
Custom pieces are available on request – provided they can be precisely realized from a technical and craftsmanship perspective.
